B-LIT (Bourbon Long Island Iced Tea)

2 oz. Bourbon

1/2 oz. Triple sec (nothing fancy here, you’re gonna pour coke on it)

1 oz. Fresh lemon juice

1 sugar cube with 1 tbs. water (or 1/2 oz. simple syrup)

5 oz. Coke

Shake the first 4 ingredients over ice with gusto in your favorite shaker, strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with coke. Prepare to B LIT!

(This doesn’t get a fancy picture because it just looks like Coke in a glass, sorry B-LIT)

Great podcast guys! I think you may have convinced me to return home to Louisville next February to check out the Bourbon Classic myself. Maybe….giving up Florida weather in February for a trip to KY isn’t done lightly.

Hope you made it…if not, they’ll be doing it next year again, as well as the Bacon and Bourbon SC event in Charleston (which I’ll point out is closer to FL and warmer in Feb!). But, in general, a trip back home to KY is never a waste since you can bring back hard to get bourbons pretty easily. I bring empty suitcases back with me when I go back home to KY just to haul back a ton of bourbon.
